Our Story & Mission

About National
Remodelers Charities

National Remodelers Charities (NRC) is an independent workforce-development initiative dedicated to supporting the next generation of skilled trades professionals in Florida and South Carolina.

NRC raises scholarship funds directly from the construction and remodeling industries — including contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and related businesses — and awards scholarships directly to qualified students pursuing careers in the skilled trades.

Unlike institution-controlled scholarship programs, NRC operates independently, allowing the organization to remain agile, student-focused, and industry-driven. Students apply to accredited trade, technical, and vocational programs of their choice and then apply directly to NRC for scholarship assistance. Scholarship funds are disbursed directly to the student’s educational institution on the student’s behalf.

NRC’s mission is to help address the growing skilled labor shortage by increasing awareness of career opportunities in the trades while reducing financial barriers for students entering workforce-oriented training programs.

The organization promotes careers in construction, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, welding, roofing, automotive/diesel technology, CDL/commercial driving, and related skilled trades through digital outreach, industry partnerships, community engagement, and student awareness initiatives.

NRC is independent from educational institutions while remaining supportive of technical colleges, trade schools, workforce programs, and apprenticeship initiatives throughout Florida and South Carolina.

By remaining lean, flexible, and industry-connected, NRC is able to focus resources where they matter most: supporting students and strengthening the future skilled trades workforce.

Why We Exist

Bridging the Skilled Trades Gap

The remodeling and home improvement industry depends on a steady pipeline of skilled tradespeople — electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, carpenters, and more. That pipeline has a leak, and we're here to help seal it.

National Remodelers Charities was founded to address cost barriers head-on. By channeling donations directly into accredited trade school scholarships, NRC removes the single most common reason qualified students don't start — or can't finish — their programs.
